FAQs

What can gradCollective offer that I can't get from other programs?

gradCollective is different. Authentic mentoring is at the heart of the program*, providing the crucial support you won't find elsewhere. The program moves beyond content delivery to address the common challenges faced by new teachers like you. Early Career Teachers are equipped with practical strategies, tools, and resources you can use immediately.

Here's what sets us apart:

  • On-demand learning: Our program is accessible online, allowing you to revisit content and find answers at your convenience. Reflect on concepts and get support from your mentor or forum members – anytime.
  • Collaborative environment: Learning doesn't happen in isolation. Our program fosters a supportive community through a forum where you can connect with peers and your mentor.
  • Focus on your success: We prioritise your needs, providing the practical tools and ongoing support you need to thrive as an Early Career Teacher.

gradCollective offers the comprehensive support system you've been searching for.
* (excluding the Foundation package)

Do schools need to provide CRT for ECTs to access the program?

No, schools do not need to organise relief teachers to cover ECTs. Since all the content is delivered online, you can access it anywhere, anytime. This flexibility significantly reduces the overall training cost for schools.

However, if schools wish to provide additional support to their Early Career Teachers (ECTs), they can offer release time or leaves of absence from after-school meetings. This would allow ECTs dedicated time to apply the learned content or participate in our live Q&A sessions and webinars.

What packages do you offer?

There are three different pricing plans to choose from: Foundational, Supported and Enpowered. Explore the Pricing tab to learn more about each plan and see what's right for you.

When will the course commence?

The course can commence at any time. ECTs will gain access to all units ensuring they have support from the very start of their journey, and can join the next available live online Q&A session.

How long does the course take?

This is completely up to the user. While 12 months is the suugested timeframe, ECTs can progress at their own pace within the 12 month period. I'll personally be there with ECTs in our online community the entire time, giving them plenty of time to ask questions and build confidence.

What time commitment does this require?

The course is intentionally designed to provide maximum flexibility for ECT's learning journey. Each module contains approximately 2 hours of learning content; this includes written and media content as well as any follow up tasks. The incredible benefit of this course is that the content is so relevant, ECTs will want to go away and start practising straight away!

It is recommended that ECTs put aside 30-60minutes a week to work through the content but this is purely a suggestion. ECTs can cover the content in less time or delve much deeper if they wish.

Do I need to be working full-time to access this course?

Not at all. This course is tailored to primary educators who are in their first year of teaching, whether you're working full-time, part-time, or as a relief teacher.

Similarly this course is perfect for teachers returning to the classroom. The course is here to provide beginning teachers with the support and resources they need to thrive in their teaching journey.

Payment options

Schools can pay for this course either using a credit card (Stripe/PayPal also available) or request an invoice by emailing hello@edcollective.co. This course is not designed for individual teachers to pay out of pocket costs; if you are a teacher and are interested in this course, please use this PL request form which you can send to your Principal/ Line Manager, or alternatively contact me on social media to discuss how I can support you.
